What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Name, Email Address

To make a purchase we need to have your name (First, Last) and email address. This is to do two things.
1. To enable us to fulfil your order with us, it is used to send you your email confirmation with a link to your download of the book.
2. We also embed your full name, email address and date of purchase into the PDF copy of the book you can download, this is to stop any unwanted sharing or printing of our book. We do not share these details with any third parties, and they are not used to contact you for any purpose other than about your order.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Analytics

We do not run any analytics on our store, but if you visit either of our main two websites, http://www.coffinworks.org/ or http://www.archive.coffinworks.org/ we do you Google Analytics to monitor visitor numbers. We do not store any personally identifiable data on our websites.

Who we share your data with

In order to process your payment, we use PayPal. During checkout on their website, you will need to fill out any information they require to complete and process your order, however, we do not directly share any of your personal data other than your name and email address, and only then, with PayPal. Whilst on PayPal, you will be covered by their GDPR and data protection. We do not receive any payment information, it is all processed directly with PayPal.

How long we retain your data

If you have made a purchase with us, we will retain your name, email address and an automatically generated order number unique to your order for up to 12 months. This is solely to keep your order available should you require to download your purchase again. 

What rights you have over your data

We will be more than happy to delete any personal data upon request (please email sarah@coffinworks.org quoting your name and order number) and we will remove your order from our website. This will delete your name and email address and any order you made with us, please note, this will mean you can no longer re-download your purchase.

Where we send your data

Your data is only used on our website, and only PayPal will require further information if you purchase a product.
